Processing of personal data for purposes of state awards and honours
- 1Competent and other public and private bodies may process even without the knowledge of the data subject personal data necessary for preparing and carrying out state procedures for awards and honours, including special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.2Section 1(8) shall apply accordingly to non-public bodies. 3Processing of personal data in accordance with sentence 1 for other purposes is only permitted with the consent of the data subject.
- Where processing is carried out purely for the purposes referred to in paragraph 1, first sentence, articles 13 to 16, 19 and 21 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 shall not apply.
- When processing special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the controller shall take appropriate and specific measures to safeguard the rights of the data subject in accordance with Article 22(2).
